  1. Wow what a small world i asked the same question last week and the said yes so i think the answer is yes. when r u going? oh i also found this in an immgration site. Foreign nationals that are lawful permanent residents of the U.S. must present a Permanent Resident Card (“Green Card”, INS Form I-551), a Reentry Permit (if gone for more than 1 year), or a Returning Resident Visa (if gone for 2 years or more), and their passport to reenter the United States if traveling from outside the Western Hemisphere. If traveling to Canada or Mexico, the Permanent Resident Card is sufficient, although, carrying a passport as well could help facilitate your reentry. (LPRs that are out of the U.S. for more than 180 days are subject to new immigrant inspection procedures as per 8 USC 1101.)

  2. Passports will not be needed to travel to and from Mexico until after SUMMER 2008.  See website below and read the top half of the page carefully for the current info.  If you are a legal resident of the U.S. ( a green card holder), you will not be able to get a U. S. passport.  You will need to use your passport from your home country when the passport requirement goes into effect.  If you are a Mexican citizen, you will need your Mexican passport then.

  3. the travel agencies have all the new info on this

  4. Yes. You'll need a passport even if you are just visiting Mexico for a day.

A good website would be tripple a. AAA. They are a good travel agency with wonderful travel info.
