Hello,

Were in a citizenship probably. My wife was born in canada in the early sixties, an has never got a U.S. passport or citizenship, so shes still a Canadan citizenship and passport. although the passport expired some 20 years ago. shes lived here all her life, but the question is how does she get a U.S. passport. What goverment site can help with this or who could we call to figure this out.

  1. By the sounds of it, she is not entitled  to a US passport.  If she is a green card holder, she can apply for naturalization immediately and, once she is a US citizen, apply for a passport.  But she will still be a Canadian citizen so she should get a new Canadian passport.

If she does not have a green card, you need to talk to a lawyer to sort this out.

  2. www.uscis.gov

  3. http://www.usa.gov/

They should explain whether or not your wife is eligible for a passport.
