Passport appointment?

hello i had recently made an appointment to get a passport and was told that the appointment was 30 minutes to an hour and i have filled out the application form and everything but what do they do during the appointment like do they ask you questions about certain stuff and if so what kind of questions do they ask?

i think they double-check the information to make sure its all right... they have you say an oath... and they make sure everything else is in check... i don't know what else they do... i have to renew my passport...and i haven't been through the process in quite a while

Where are you applying? I've had passports since 1980 and never had anyone ask me questions. You fill out a form, they might check it, and that's it.
