Passport contacts?

does anyone know what happens if your emergancy contact at the back of you passport change address... do you need to update a form ?

  1. you need to contact the passport office and ask! I only ever write mine in pencil that way if they change address they are easily changed without being an illegal change ( I say illegal as I don't know if you are allowed to change them at all!!!) By using Tipex you may invalidate the form.....best to check! By the way the pencil won't run if the passport gets wet!! Clever huh???

  3. All you need to do is put a sticker over the top.  This section is personal to you - there are no other records. It is always a good idea to write this section in pencil so that changes can be recorded over the lifetime of the passport.

No.  Completing the emergency contact information section on the back of the passport is completely optional; there is no need to update what you have written.  If you are concerned about providing emergency contact information to the authorities when you travel, you may register with your country's foreign missions when you are overseas.

  5. I think at any changes in the passport it is necessary to change data which have brought in any important documents
