Passport issueing delayed?

My wife has applied for the passport in mumbai passport office on 23 of jul 2007 but she didnt get the passport yet because the passport officers says she must finish one year at my residence on last dec we got married.she has already included her name in ration card on my ration card she has produced residence society secratary's letter defines she was staying here from last 6 months and our marriage certificate. she has passed two police enquiry from my area police station. now still she didnt get passport yet.

Can anyone having any solution for this or tell me to whom i can contact for the further process.

Your wife still hasn't lived at your place for one year. She's only lived at your place for 6 months before you applied for the passport. Because she moved in (offically) in Dec 2006 she should have applied for the passport in Dec 2007 or after.

Call the passport office up and see if they can put your wife's application on hold until December (then that requirement will be filled).

Issuance of a passport is subject to regulation.  Thus, you have to comply with the rules before a passport will be issued to your wife.
