Question:

Passport names matching the cruise line info?

My husband and I are going on a cruise and we gave only first and last names to the Travel Agent. But our passports have first-middle-last names. Will we have trouble at the dock?

This is our first cruise and we've never gotten passports before, and we don't want to mess it up!

We are traveling on Norwegian.

  1. ?

  2. As a cruise consultant, I can tell you that your first and last names have to be what's on your passport. So if you have the agent your first and last names, that will do. Make sure that your passport is up-to-date because 01/01/07, all sea travel is requiring that you have your passport. If you need any additional information, don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks!

  3. ask your cruise line. If your first and last names match, normally there is some leeway with the middle name.

  4. call the cruise company and ask. most likely not but it can't hurt to ask

  5. Your middle names are not important. There is just so much information that can hold on a booking..so first and last will suffice.

  6. I think you will be okay.  If you change it now there will be a change fee most likely around $75.

If I was you I would leave it.

  7. You do not need to use your middle name.  Cruise documentation only requires your first and last name no matter what appears on your passport.
