Passport or goveremnt issued id to the bahamas?

this saturday i am traveling the the bahamas with a friend. I am under 16.

on this website it says i can use a goverment issued photo id to go there.

If posible where would i get that and could i get it by saturday

  1. If you don't have a passport,  I think you are screwed because on January 23, 2007, new US government regulations took effect which will require all adults and children (even newborns) to have a valid passport for all international travel by air.


  2. I take it you are going on a cruise? If you are a US citizen and departing from a US Port and returning to a US port, all you need is your original birth certificate under 18 to cruise.  If you are flying you MUST have a passport. Here is the link for cruising.

    Some cruise lines are requiring a passport, call the cruise lines and ask them what their requirements are.

  3. In most states you can go to the DVM (Division of Motor Vehicles), the same place people go to get their driver's license. You will need your birth certificate, and probably another form of identification. Call the DVM in your area to get the information.
