Question:

Passport photo and piercing help

Going to get a passport photo in a couple of days and I was wondering if facial piercings need to be removed before hand.

I have one lip ring and an eyebrow bar. It's a pain in the **** to get them in and out, but obviously I don't want to waste my money on a photo that'll be rejected.

Cheers in advance.

  1. You can check for guidelines on;

    www.ips.gov.uk,

    I just had a quick look, and it doesn't actually mention piercings, though, pop into your local Post Office...someone there should be able to advise you.

    You are allowed to wear glasses , as long as the eyes can be seen, and there is no refelction....so i would guess that as piercings don't actually cover your face, or conceal any part of your face in any way, I wouldn't have thought there would be a problem.

  2. I shouldnt think so because thats what you look like in real life, thats what youll look like when you hand in your passport at the airport.

  3. No, you don't have to take them out as long as they aren't massive and obscuring your features in any way..if you wear them all the time then in fact its probably better you have them in as they are in a way "distinguishing marks" which make it easier to identify you as you!

    Bizarre really as a friend of mine got away with about ten facial piercings but I got my photo turned down cos I had my glasses on, and had to get a new one done without glasses lol...

  4. could be rejected ..take them out just bfore and then pop them back the min you are done

  5. You don't have to remove them! I have mine on in my passport picture!
