Passport trouble.PLease help.im only 16!?

Question

my child passport has expired and im not sure what to do.Should i apply for an adult one as ive just turned 16..because payments have to be made and everythings just confusing me.I dont know if i have to pay to renew my child one and then update it to an adult which also costs.Please help!

It has expired dear but you are still a child. I am one too. I am 17 years old and I am still considered a child. Just renew it. Go to a local store like Wallgreens or Walmart. I know they for sure do passport photos. Get the photos developed (only should cost like $10) and take the photo prints to a passport agency or the airport. Airports are a lot more easier because they have a more convenient service. Give them your old passport and tell them you need it renewed and they will ask for your prints. Fill out papers and then you leave and wait about two weeks to a month for your renewed one to come in the mail. It will be mailed to your house address most likely. I do not know for sure if you need a parent there with you but you will need some money for a renewal.

If you go to the post office and ask for a passport application form it will give you all the help you need.  You will need to apply for an adult one now your 16.  I have just recently applied for one for my son he is the same age as you.  You will need to send your old one away with your application and new photos with the passport fee which is £72 because this is your first adult passport. You can have a child passport until your 18. Just renew your passport.

i think the child passport is until you are 18. look at uk passport office online you will find all the info you need to help you, you can also fill in your new application while your there
