Passport under maiden name??

My passport is under my maiden name. But got married and my ss card and driver's liscense. Basically everything is under my married name, but my passport. I'm leaving to honduras in 1 week. Should I take my marriage license? Should i not? What do I do? Plz help don't know what to do.

  1. do you the paper of your legal name change you got from court? I fyou do, just carry a copy of it and it should be fine. I fyou don't just go to your county record and get a copy of it-they keep all legal documentation in the archives. hope it helps.


  2. My wife's country does not allow a name change. Her _______ passport therefor has to be under her maiden name. All the US paperwork is under her married name. We have never had any trouble. Carry your marriage certificate just in case but Honduras is a country familiar with tourism and you shouldn't have any problem..

  3. Apply for passport in present name. Attach proof of marriage etc. It is better to have upto date document.
