How long does it take from application posting to receiving back a child's first passport? It was sent using check and send

if your not in they will either post it if they are happy.... or they will leave you a No to call

Can be up to six weeks depending on teh amount of application at that time. If you have put a date it is needed by i will nearly always be returned by that date.

You can phone the office and ask.

Ring the Passport Office helpline and ask them if you think that it's overdue but bear in mind it is the summer now so they will be busier.

No more than 10 days, they can arrived as little as 4 days after posting.

They say 5 weeks at the passport office.  I completed my son's application (first passport) on 21st May and received the passport on 8th June (yes - special delivery on Sunday)

It depends on when you send it - this time of the year is the busiest (May through to August) it can be up to 8 weeks before the Application Form gets LOOKED at, and then it takes a further 2 weeks to be prosessed.

Ask at the Post Office where you had it checked, they will have up to date information about how long things are taking at the moment, as you must be thoroughly confused by now!!

my kids took a week, but then my friends took a month to arrive, ring them, they will tell you when to expect it
