Question:

Password help.?

I recently changed the password for my screen name, and I can't remember what I changed it to! When I go to AIM.COM and click on I FORGOT MY PASSWORD, it asks me for the email I signed up with, instead of my security question, and I don't remember that either!

but I looked on my computer and in the AIM cache files there is something that looks like this:

[aim]

[profile 0]

name=PRETENDTHISISMYSCREENNAME

password=543210123456

auto connect=0

icq_country=0

icq_bus_country=0

icq_occupation=0

request auth=1

chat availability=0

directory privacy=0

server id=0:0

the part at the top that says PASSWORD: with that 12 character # sequence, (it isn't the real one), could I possibly find out what my password is through that? It's urgent!

Thanks in advance!

  1. You are not going to be able to get it thru that information.

    Most likely your going to have to guess what your original email was OR, your going to have to write AIM.

  2. Nope. Those are just randomly generated numbers, basically the ones that are used to make the many different *********** show up even when you are using a 6 character pass. It is asking you for you alternate email that you signed up with. Sorry
