Password on Windows XP?

I have my old PC that was just recently fixed and hasn't been in use for about 6 months and i have totally forgotten the password to log in as the administrator, i'm through with guessing, could anyone please tell me a way of getting into it, i've tried other software like sportmau power suite, to help try and change the settings in the user log but i need to be logged in as the administrator arghh! Please help:(

The first password recovery approach suggests that you log on to the computer using another user account that has administrator credentials. Once you're logged in as the admin, open command prompt and type the following command:

control userpasswords2

Click the user account that you forgot the password for, and then click Reset Password. Type a new password in both the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and then click OK. You should now be able to log on to Windows with the user account and the new password.
