Password. when i turn the computer on it has the screen for in touch with tomorrow Toshiba screen

Question

when i turn the computer on it has the screen for in touch with tomorrow Toshiba screen then goes to a black screen and has a password. The person who gave me the computer no longer can recall the password that she used and I need to be able to use this computerso i was wondering if like the other versions there is a way to get into safe mode without the password to help me reboot or reset the computer without knowing it. Can you help?
