Question:

Pasta Party favors?

I'm making party favors that consist of two recipe cards with two of the dishes that I'm serving at the party, tied to a little net bag with a head of garlic in it. What else (besides pasta shapes) can I put in the bags? I can make them any size I need.

  1. How about a bottle or jar of spice(s)?  You could go and get some cute little jars and then just buy the big spice and pour them into the little ones and label them yourself.  Use a spice that's in your recipe.  A small bottle of olive oil would be cute.  A candle.  A little kitchen timer.

Go do the Dollar Store and see what they have too!

  2. You might also include your favorite dessert recipe to go with the main course recipes, stick with the pasta, the sauce in a sterile jar , and include the dessert as their sweet.

  3. i think instead of garlic you should make little jars of your own pasta sauce house spice then print cool labels and fill the rest of the bag up with pasta

  4. how about small containers of Parmesan cheese or flavored oil for bread to go with your dishes.

  5. i saw racheal ray take mini mottzerella balls and fill up those spring lid glass jars with the cheese and fresh herbs then add olive oil and use those as party favors. so maybe something like that or what the previous answer suggested or heck both!

  6. little liqueur nips...

  7. pasta strainer? maybe the flat kind, that you hold against the pot to pour out the water and not lose the pasta.

once we got pasta shaped like tennis rackets and the like

you ought to go to one of those chef shops, with all the small specialty stuff, to get some ideas!
