Pastor Maldonado hopes to perform well in 2012 Indian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Williams’ driver Pastor Maldonado has said that he is looking forward to perform well in the 2012 Indian Grand Prix which is going to be held this weekend at Buddh International Circuit.
Maldonado said that he really loves the track of the forthcoming race and called it one of his most favourite circuits in the calendar. Moreover, he said that it is a completely new circuit as compared to the conventional ones and is quite challenging because
of its fast corners.
“India is enjoyable because it's so different and the track is one of my favourites. It's still a new track but it has a good combination of medium and high-speed corners, chicanes and good changes in direction,” said Maldonado of Venezuela was quoted as
saying on the Formula 1 web site.
It is to be noted that he has been surrounded by a lot of criticism over his hostile driving style due to which many accidents have been caused in the season so far.
Even though, he claimed his maiden victory in the Spanish GP after securing his first ever pole position and managed to score a win for his team after a long time. However, other than that, he has not been able to attain competitive results in the season
until now and has struggled in most of the races.
Nevertheless, he is not feeling upset over his poor results and is positively targeting to come up stronger in the remainder of the season. In addition, he said that they are making the essential preparations to improve their car’s pace in the approaching
races in order to secure a good position in this year’s championship.
“Coming to the final few races, making the most of our cars potential is going to be important. So hopefully, we can score points here and put ourselves in a strong position for the final three races,” he added.
Although, the Grove based team has faced immense difficulties in the season until now, nonetheless, they are confidently eying to secure promising results in the remaining four grands prix.
