Pastor Maldonado thinks Williams have great future – Formula 1 News
Williams’ driver Pastor Maldonado has said that his team has a great future and great potential, therefore he sees no point to move to any other squad at the moment.
Maldonado has struggled a lot with his pace and has not been able to score even a single point until now. In contrast, his teammate, Valtteri Bottas has also remained unable to pocket any points in the season so far.
Despite facing immense problems, the Venezuelan driver has said that he is not feeling disappointed over their poor form in this season and is hoping to make a strong come back in the next season.
Although, he expressed that they are not happy with their performance in this season, they are working very hard to make the necessary developments to improve the pace of their car in order to compete well with their rivals in
the season ahead.
“For sure I really want to continue here,” he said. “It's one of the best places for young driver to be and for sure we are not happy with results of this year. We have struggled quite a lot to improve car and be competitive.”
Besides, he asserted that the Grove based squad have a great future and he has no plan to leave his team. Furthermore, he said that he has spent some great time with the British team since 2011 and feels really happy to become
a part of such a legendary team in F1.
“The team has a great future and great potential so there is no point to change. When I started to drive for Williams I saw the factory, the cars and the history of team and it was very important for me to become a part of this
team,” he said.
In addition, he insisted that they must keep on working hard to make the necessary advancements in their car to perform well in the forthcoming races.
“We just need to work hard together and potential is there,” he added.
It will be exciting to see how he performs in the Hungarian Grand Prix at Hungaroring on July 28, 2013.
