Pat Cummins hopes for an improved performance in the ICC World T20 2012 – Cricket News Update
Australia’s budding speedster, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Iftikhar-Ali-Khan-Pataudi-Nawab-of-c64075 Cummins, is disappointed that his side is placed so low in the ICC T20 Ranking but claims that the Kangaroos will surprise everyone in the forthcoming ICC World T20 2012, to be held in Sri Lanka later this month.
Over the years, the Baggy Greens have ruled the world of cricket in Tests as well as the 50-over format, winning four World Cups. Their performance in the game’s shortest version (T20s) however, has been found wanting, although the Aussies qualified for
the final of the ICC World T20 2010, played in the Caribbean.
Having lost the initial two encounters against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 T20 Rankings.
Cummins, who is one of the world’s finest young fast bowlers, wants to see his side improving their performance in the format and vows for a better showing in the mega event in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
He said, "In terms of ranking for Twenty20, I don’t think we are anywhere near where we should be. We are a much better side than that and I think in the World Cup we will show that."
Needing seven runs to win off two deliveries in the second T20 at Dubai, Cummins showed his ability with the bat, hitting a huge six over mid-wicket. However, he failed to finish the match, top-edging a straight full-toss off the bowling of Abdul Razzaq.

"I was pretty relaxed after hitting the six. I thought the worst that could happen is we would go into a Super Over. I told myself to bat just two metres down the crease and don’t hit it up. Obviously, I got a leading edge and was very disappointed," the
youngster added.
The rookie has been doing well in different T20 competitions around the world and the team management is hoping that the injury-prone fast bowler stays fit during the forthcoming illustrious tournament.
