my fiance's ex will not let him see his daughter if she does not get what she wants and when. last wk she called him 2 hrs before they were supposed to meet and said no because his dad did not say hi to her in the store. as a result we are filing papers for visitation tomorrow. also she if she is upset she will tell him that the baby is not his child, then he'll say why am i paying child support and then she'll say no of course your the father.

so when we file for visitation we would also like to file for paternity test. we called today and they charge $120 for filing for the test and $650 for the test. that a lot of money and we're tight now anyways. is there a way that she might have to pay part of it to, and should we file for the test now or wait till we're in court and then ask the judge to order it. thanks for any info. also the child is 2 yrs

  1. Contested matters involving paternity issues, custody, support, and visitation are complex and expensive.  Going forward with new claims without consulting your attorney is foolish and almost certain to lose.

Consult your attorney before taking any action in this matter.

If you want a paternity test, why would the mother have to pay any of it?
