Does anyone know how much the courts/child support will charge me if I ask for a Paternity Test in North Carolina?

This is how it goes-  The lady files for child support.  The child support office sends info to your husband.  He goes to court.  In court he should let the judge know that he is not sure if the child is his because it was a long distance relationship and she never told him of a pregnancy.  The judge will order a paternity test, usually at no cost, so that they can have official documentation.  I hope this helps.


  2. You can order one on-line for about $100. It's about $500 if it's done through the courts in California.

  3. They start around $35 then go up.  Look online at some places and compare costs.  That is for test only though, and then it will cost extra for the results.
