  1. not sure on the question why would you want to leave joints


  2. Butt them together, and sweep-in Polymeric Sand.

    It is a fine sand with a binding agent added, that helps it solidify after you wet it.

    It helps keep out weeds, and ants.

Normal joints are 10mm, allow 24 hours after the slabs are laid pour water into the joints, let any water on the face of the slabs to dry off then just sweep a dry mix of sand and cement (bagged premixed mortar works well as its quite fine) into the joints. Job done and no mess on the face of the slabs. Hope this helps
