The Manchester United left-back has criticised Laurent Blanc for not playing him in France’s quarterfinal defeat to Spain at the Euros and says that he really wants to win something with Les Bleus
Once again, Manchester United star http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 has become a regular starter for the France national team under Didier Deschamps. After not being able to impress former manager Laurent Blanc, the 31-year-old has rediscovered his motivation for the national
team.
While talking to reporters, the Senegal-born France international did not hesitate to take a jibe at his former national team manager Laurent Blanc who controversially, chose not include the former AS Monaco man in the starting line up for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 quarterfinal
game against Spain during the Euros.
And, not being able to play against the eventual European champions is something Evra finds hard to digest as he feels that he had a good start to the European championships (against England) and the manager never explained to him the reason for dropping
him.
“I could not digest that I didn’t play against Spain at the Euro so I took my revenge last month. The Euros did me much harm. I started well against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and then I was replaced. I have not had any explanation from the man (Laurent Blanc) and it is not
to the press that I ask. I found myself on the bench before the quarterfinal against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 when I really thought I was going to play.”
Once again an important part of the national side, the Manchester United man says that he is not really looking to leaving his place at Les Bleus anytime soon as he has some unfinished business to take care of.
With the national team struggling to return to its former glory, Patrice Evra still dreams to win a major trophy for Les Bleus and says that if he does not win anything for his country, he will consider his career a failure.
“I do not want to leave my http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 and I really want to win something with my country.”
After winning so much with Manchester United, it is only natural for the left-back to achieve something for his country too.
