Patrice Evra issues a warning to Manchester United’s title rivals – EPL news
Manchester United defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231, has claimed that the club’s record-breaking 19th Premier League victory was just a taste of what is to come in the future. The Frenchman believes that the Red Devils will carry their momentum from the
2010/11 season into the next campaign to win their second consecutive Barclays Premier League title.
Manchester United’s historic title win has made them the most successful club in the history of the English game. It is a remarkable achievement for the Red Devils, especially since the current United squad was considered to be one of the weakest in many
years. Even Patrice Evra has to admit that his team did not hit top gear in the recently concluded Barclays Premier League campaign.
Speaking on the matter, Evra said, “I remember some saying earlier in the season that it was the end of the empire. We weren't as consistent as previous seasons, but no team showed consistency throughout the season. The problem for us was our away form."
However, all notions of the weakness of this United team were dispelled when they lifted the trophy on the final day of the season. The Red Devils sparked into life in the second half of the campaign, and once they took control of first place in the league
standings, there was no looking back.
Even though Manchester United have now earned their place at the top of the English foodchain, Evra claims that the players will not be resting on their laurels. The Frenchman added, “Our aim every year is to win the league and we won’t stop here. Every
time you’d go to a restaurant or walk down the street this season, the fans would talk about the 19th title. But I want to say to them now: we’re not finished yet. This is just the beginning. I know Manchester United can win more titles and we have to keep
doing that.”
