Patrice Evra wants Manchester United to redeem themselves against Barcelona
Manchester United full-back and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 has gone on to state that he wants a chance to redeem himself against Barcelona.
The defender was part of the United squad that went on to suffer a three goals to one defeat at the hands of the Catalans, in the Champions League finals last season. The defeat doesn’t seem to be sitting too well with the defender, who wants to see his
team get one on their rivals.
The Red Devils and Barcelona are currently in line to face off this Saturday as part of a friendly and Evra seems to be in no mood of holding anything back for the game.
Evra, when talking to the press in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 a lot of respect but I'd like to play against them again in the Champions League final and win"
He then went on to reveal that losing to them twice wasn’t sitting well with him, but was in fact quite hurtful: "I have already lost to them twice and it's very painful.”
The defender then went on to admit that the Catalans were the best in the world, but, that United were also looking to achieve that honour.
He then ended by stating: "At the moment they are the best team in the world, which is difficult for us to accept because that is what we want to be."
From the way things are shaping up, this friendly between the two sides, might prove to be anything but that. The two teams have had highly impressive pre-seasons so far, but neither team have actually faced off against a team that has the capability of
rivalling them. However, with the Premier League Champions looking to take on the La Liga winners, all of that is set to change.
United are going to be looking to go into the game to get the upper hand on their opponents, while building up momentum to go into the season. On the other hand, Barcelona are going to be looking to keep their winning streak over United and see it go to
three in a row.
Both teams are more than likely to use their new signings in the game, which would be interesting to see, as it would prove just how well the players have adjusted to life in their new clubs.
All in all, this upcoming friendly is already shaping up to be a game that no one should miss.
