Patrick Helmes could be on his way out of VfL Wolfsburg this season – Bundesliga news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrick-Helmes-c29274 has hinted at a move away for the club prior to the team’s next game. The player was talking after his side’s resounding 3-0 win against FC Koln in the opening week of the new campaign.
Helmes grabbed a brace in that game but that might not be enough to secure his future at the Volkswagen Arena. Die Wolfe are preparing a bid for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 striker, Papiss Demba Cisse.
The 27-year-old confirmed about his possible departure from Wolfsburg but was unsure about his next destination. He told that it would be a hard decision to leave the club after receiving so much praise in such a short span of time. The striker mentioned
that the club have been continuously monitoring Cisse’s performances since the conclusion of the last campaign and are interested in acquiring his services.
In an interview to a local news channel, the 27-year-old added, "We have won 3-0, I have scored two goals and the rest is up to the coach. Normally for this I would have a guaranteed starting berth, but what is normal? I was being written off before the
season started and every other day, I am supposed to be sold. For as long as it is only gossip and nobody comes to tell me it, then it doesn't interest me much."
With 22 goals to his name, Cisse was the second highest goalscorer last season behind Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez, and also scored in his club’s opening game of this year’s campaign against FC Augsburg. Freiburg played out a 2-2 draw away from home in a
game played on Saturday, August 6.
Helmes joined Die Wolfe earlier in 2011 and has three goals under his belt from nine games until now. He made his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 debut in 2007 and has two goals to his name from 13 caps so far. He previously represented the likes of FC Koln and Bayer Leverkusen.
