http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrick-c29254 Mork, Elm’s agent, has revealed that his client is open to the possibility of moving abroad after being linked with a host of top European clubs in the recent months.
“Rasmus is very open and is not closing any doors. He doesn't have any preference for clubs. Of course it's flattering when clubs like Manchester United are mentioned, but how big an interest they have, I don't know”, Mork said while talking to the media.
The 23-year-old arrived at AFAS Stadion in the summer of 2009 after making close to 100 appearances for the Swedish outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kalmar-FF-c39661. Since then, the highly-rated playmaker has impressed many in Europe with his scintillating midfield displays.
Elm has thus far scored 13 goals in 58 appearances for the Alkmaar outfit. However, the 23-year-old has been in tremendous touch since the start of 2011/12 campaign, netting an impressive eight goals while setting up four more in 17 Eredivisie appearances.
The deep-lying playmaker’s consistently sublime shows have played an integral role in his side’s rise to the summit of the Eredivisie table this season.
Rumours were rife that English Premier League giants, Manchester United, are taking keen interest in signing the 23-year-old in the ongoing January transfer window.
Some reports in Dutch media even claimed that the Red Devils have agreed personal terms with the midfielder; however, his agent has denied having reached an agreement with the English Premier League champions.
“No, I am still waiting for Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson to call me. There has been talk about Manchester United's interest for months, but I have not heard anything from them. It's too much rumours at the moment, so there really isn't very much to say”, Mork concluded.
The 23-year-old has an ongoing contract that will keep him at AFAS Stadion until the summer of 2013. The club management has thus far shown reluctance in letting go of its prized asset in the ongoing winter transfer market.
However, reports indicate that an offer in the region of 12 million Euros could be enough to lure the midfielder away from AFAS Stadion.
