The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 player feels that any team can win the Championelle this season and Paris Saint-Germain need to work really hard to get their hands on the Ligue 1 crown
PSG are favourites to win the Ligue 1 title this season in the wake of massive investment the capital club has done over the last couple of years. However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrick-Vieira-c29316 doesn’t believe that the cash-laden club from Paris will win the league just because
of their lavish spending.
While talking to reporters, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international stated that money doesn’t always buy success and there are no guarantees that Carlo Ancelotti’s side will win the Championelle this season.
The 36-year-old admitted that Les Parisiens are favourites to lift the Ligue 1 crown but added that it won’t be because of their massive spending. PSG have so many quality players at their disposal but to win the league, they need to play as a team.
"Football is quite strange; you can buy any players you want, but not the success. I am one of the people who believe that money doesn't buy you success. It will help you to be successful but in the end it is how you play as a team."
Praising Paris Saint-Germain, the former Manchester City player said that Paris Saint-Germain have become one of the best clubs in Europe in very short span of time. People have started following the club and the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903
are crowd pullers.
Vieira added that not only PSG are availing benefits of their rise, the clubs who play against them are also benefitting from that.
"I think PSG, everywhere they play they will play in a full stadium. That means the teams who host PSG making an income and, because of the players that PSG bought, bringing people to the stadium.”
On a question regarding potential Ligue 1 winner this season, the Frenchman said that the league is very open this year. Paris Saint-Germain are favourites to lift the title but few other teams in the league have the ability to rival PSG in that regard.
“I think Ligue 1 is still really open this season.”
