Patriot Act and local law enforcement?

Is it possible to have local law inforcement to bug your home with video cameras? Is there any way to find out if you suspected that?

  1. This is a tricky situation...

    In most cases the answer would be no. Im sure there is some old law that says, if the police were to find a crazy enough reason and a crazy judge to sign it, they could get a warrant but usually they only let phones get tapped. Ive never heard of placing cameras.


  2. No we aren't that police state (I hope, 3 more months)

  3. The Patriot Act is for national security, it is not intended for local law enforcement, so don't count on cameras showing up in  households anytime soon.
