Patriots and spy-gating?

Seriously, I don't think it was that big of a deal. Many teams have done it, and it is more of a strategy then cheating if you think about it. I am not a Pats fan but I feel sorry for what they went through with that whole thing, especially Belichek. If they didn't have such a great season, this whole cheating scandal wouldn't have even been broughten up. It is mainly because there is a bunch of jealous football fans who can't accept the fact that the Patriots were a great team. Any body agree or disagree?

  1. I think spy gate caused a big question mark next to the patriots because the question became was it good football only or was it knowing what the other team was going to play instead.  18 & 1 not withstanding.  What if the Jets coach hadn't been a former Pats coach.  What if they weren't discovered and then at the end of the season they were caught?  Wouldn't we all say they cheated?

Honestly I thinks the Pats head coach should have been suspended for at least a year and the team barred from any play off games no matter what they won.

  2. Mangini's just a b*tch.

    Pats Rule

    Brady for Prez

  3. well even if every team does it the fact is that they got caught doing it and its in the rule book under things not to do...i would expect any team and coach who allowed it to be punished for it no matter how great of a season they are having, its considered cheating and they were caught red handed

  4. people can hate but the pats will reamin the best

  5. Spygate put the legacy of the Bellichik Patsies in doubt. There is no way to know the amount of information that the team gleaned from the illegal taping, it even causes their Super Bowl wins to be suspect. And No, Not everybody does it. Teams with integrity don't. You would never see a team coached by Dungy, or Parcells or Coughlin cheating. To say that the Cowboys did it just underlines my point. They did it under a Coach whose sense of Morality is just this side of  laughable, never under Parcells. Since Tom Landry left, the Cowboys (with the exception of the Parcells Years) have not been considered Bastions of Integrity. The Bottom line is that the Patriots were caught cheating, they were fined for cheating, they were smug and arrogant about it and everything the team has accomplished is now suspect.

  6. jealous fans? a former assistant turned them in....

  7. I agree...For one thing, Jimmy Johnson admitted to doing it as coach of the Dallas Cowboys...and Eric Mangini is an ungrateful little weasel who wouldn't even be Head Coach of the Jets if it weren't for Belichick

  8. That whole team is a conspiracy if you ask me.

That coach always looks like he is sneaking around, getting into business that's not right.

Half the players act like they are paranoid too.

And yeah it was a big deal. ITS CHEATING plain and simple. Thats just like if you were playing poker and you got a guy to go over and look at the other person's cards for ya.

  9. Patriots will win the super bowl this year, and that will put an end to spy-gating.
