Pattern Help!?!?

What is the mathmatical pattern between the numbers: 0, 3, 8, & 15. Thanks in advance for anyone who helps me out! (:

0, 3, 8, 15 ...

the differences are

3, 5, 7 ...

the next difference would be 9, so the next term would be 24

formula for nth term, starting at 0 is

Xn = (n+1)² - 1

Looks to me like they are adding odd numbers to each entry.

3, 5, 7, 9

0 + 3 = 3

3 + 5 = 8

8 + 7 = 15

Then the next would be: 15 + 9 = 24

And so on.

This is my guess.
