Paul Biedermann occupies Men’s 400m freestyle gold – 2012 Indian Ocean Meet
Paul Biedermann of Germany occupied gold medal of the Men’s 400m freestyle on day two of the 2012 Indian Ocean Meet in St. Paul, Reunion, on Saturday, December 29.
Biedermann, who own the world record of the 400m discipline, went full rampant in the race and lived up to the expectations of his supporters by clinching gold medal.
With his unrelenting efforts, Biedermann remained in a considerable lead over his followings swimmer and raked gold medal of the race by producing a time of 3 minutes and 47.37 seconds.
The champion was followed by Benoit Debast of France, who was nearly three seconds away and surfaced on the finishing end for second place by touching the wall with the timing of 3 minutes and 50.73 seconds.
Third position of the race was secured by Ambroise Petit of France, who stayed almost 12 seconds slower from Debast but managed to secure bronze medal of the discipline by producing an effort of 4 minutes and 02.11 seconds.
Fourth spot of the race was obtained by Mathieu Marquet, who was 5.04 seconds away from his preceding swimmer and transpired on the finishing end with the timing of 4 minutes and 07.15 seconds.
Fifth spot of the race was obtained by Valery Defalbaire of France, who was 6.30 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and surfaced on the wall with the timing of 4 minutes and 13.45 seconds.
Defalbaire was traced by Dimitri Faubourg of France, who stayed considerably slower from his former finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 4 minutes and 17.27 seconds for sixth position.
Seventh spot of the event was chased by Pierre-Yves Desprez, who was nearly five seconds behind and tapped the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 22.58 seconds.
Last position of the event was obtained by Jamme Delphin of South Africa, who was 1.05 seconds apart and posted an effort of 4 minutes and 23.63 seconds.
Furthermore, Biedermann was overjoyed with his top finish in the 400m discipline and told that he would try his level best to please his supporters by doing the same in future.
