Former Germany international Paul Breitner counts Germany as one of the favourites for the upcoming Euro 2012. The former defender reckons that Joachim Low’s side are currently going through a decent run and are definite contenders for the title.

Breitner started his playing career with Bayern Munich in 1970, netting 17 times from 109 league appearances. The player then moved to Real Madrid where he scored 10 goals from 84 La Liga games. The former defender joined Bayern Munich for his second spell
and spent five years at Allianz Arena (1978-1983) before announcing his retirement from the club football.
The veteran made his Germany debut in 1971 and earned himself 48 caps during his 11-year international career. Breitner also scored 10 goals during the process.
