Paul Casey Doesn't care whether it’s PGA or the European Tour

The famous English golfer, Paul Casey thinks it’s not really important where one plays, as long as they do. The neutral player just wants to play in any tour regardless of whether its European or the US PGA. That’s quite a positive statement made by the
player since many of the European players have now openly declared how they are not going to play on the PGA in 2011.
Casey said that every other week, the depth of the PGA Tour is stronger than the European one. Quoting that 7 of the top 11 in the world rankings are European, he said that the quality of the tournaments staged in Europe will be very high as well. Of course,
the better the players, the more competition there is and the more the competition, the more thrilling the tournament.
"It doesn't matter; these guys are just focused on playing the biggest events around the world. I don't think it matters any more where your home tour is," said Paul. "I still enjoy playing around the world and because I have got a place (an American wife,
a home and a Tour card) in the States it is very convenient for me to play there."
When asked about the three stars of Europe, Martin Kaymer, Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy, Casey said that they will definitely miss the FedEx Cup. Seeing the FedEx Cup is a relevant event with a huge amount of money, Casey thinks the We-are-staying-in-Europe
trio should have considered the FedEx Cup. Even though they can make money in Europe, it’s not always about the money. Casey said that it’s about where the person wants to play and spend time
Paul said that by not focusing on PGA, they are giving them chances to play all over the world. This wouldn’t be a limitation necessarily. It would be the American golf fans that would be disappointed the most since they won’t get to see their role models
that often.
Martin Kaymer, who is number one on the money list, is playing doing very well at the Dubai World Championship. Winning the USPGA title at Whistling Straits this year, Kaymer could have taken the five year exemption in America. Despite such an offer, Kaymer
turned in his US Tour playing card and stated how he wants to stick to the European tour and how the best players of the world will stay here hence he decided to do so as well.
Along with Kaymer, new world number one, Lee Westwood is not going to play in the PGA in 2011 either. Westwood became the world number end of October as he dethroned Tiger Woods. Despite suffering from an Injury, Lee has had a good year so far. Westwood
tore his calf muscle during the French Open in July. Taking a break from competitive golf, Westy wanted to get in shape for the Ryder Cup. Doing very well in the event, his injury recurred during the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Taking a break again from the tournament, he decided to get in shape for the Dubai World Championship. Westwood posted a 3-under 69 in the opening round at the Championship.
Rory McIlroy, the young Irishman recently opted out of the Players Championship as he wants to focus on the European Tour. His eyes are more on the Race to Dubai list for which he’ll try to do well in all the big tournaments in Europe.
Along with favoring the United States, Paul has a thing for the Middle East. He won the Abu Dhabi Championship two times. Currently playing the Dubai World Championship, Casey finished tied for twelfth place in the opening round. The second round of the
finale of the European Tour is under progress.
