Paul Casey is fresh and motivated after a healthy layoff
Paul Casey is feeling fresh and motivated to be back on the golf course after a two-month layoff.
The 34-year-old English professional golfer suffered an injury in December last year in a snowboarding accident.  He dislocated his shoulder and took a break from his professional game.
He also missed the chance to defend his title at the Volvo Golf Champions, the European Tour event in January.
Branden Grace claimed the glory of the tournament with an amazing score of a 12-under par.
Now Casey will be returning to golf this week and will show his appearance at the World Golf Championship – Cadillac Championship from March 8 to 11, at the Floridian site of the TPC Blue Monster at Doral Miami.
According to him, his shoulder has recovered 90 percent and he is healthy enough to play the game once again. “I’ve had really good rehab,” Casey said.
He stated, “Luckily there was no surgery, it was just purely rehab, so it’s feeling strong and now I have to do a lot of work on my golf game to get it back to where it was before the accident”.
His motivation level is impressive. He desires to earn back the same respect, which he earned before the layoff, by showing some massive and appealing strokes in Miami, Florida.
“I didn’t miss any Majors, and that was the fortunate timing of it. I think my expectations are fairly low, the first time I walked around 18 holes was Monday here,” Casey added.
He further said, “I'm here and I want to play well, and I’d love to win this tournament, but my main focus is getting ready to go into Augusta. I’m feeling fresh and excited”.
He hopes to be the proud winner of the tournament by displaying some impressive strokes and high scores. He has not recorded any victory at the WGC staged tournaments in the past and desires to win this year.
Similarly, like the other leading players of the world, he also has a major title in his eyes. The Ryder Cup star is making him ready for the Masters Tournament in April.
However, he has to face tough rivals in Florida and Augusta as well. He has to practise rigorously and show his golfing skills. This is how he can help himself to be the proud winner at both the tournaments.
