  1. Perhaps he is an American-wanna-be.

I have never understood his reasoning and, when we had a 60 cent dollar it made absolutely no sense...however, economically, now that the dollar is at par it could make some serious money...mind you, it would likely kill the CFL unless done with a partnership with the league, Argos and Ti-Cats.

  2. Because we already have NBA, MLB, and NHL teams?  Or maybe because the NFL is a huge cash cow?  Really, I think the only person who can truly answer this question is Paul Godfrey himself...

  3. He is the Mark Cuban of Canada

  4. Toronto, and thus Canada, would be the biggest market in the NFL.  Worldwide, all those who like NFL football, but don't like the USA, would be buying Toronto jerseys.  But, more than anything, an NFL franchise is the best toy in the whole wide world!

  5. I wish I knew.  Wasn't he also consumed, obsessed and nutzo to get Toronto an MLB team at one time too?  And then the same for a covered stadium.  I guess it's that inferiority thing that many prominent Torontonians have.  Can't be a 'World Class City" unless we have all the toys.

  6. It is his dream.  He helped bring baseball to Toronto and now he wants to get the NFL.
