Paul Heyman wants Brock Lesnar in UFC Hall of Fame – UFC News
Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar’s on-air WWE representative and the co-author of Lesnar's autobiography, ‘Death Clutch: My Story of Determination, Domination and Survival’, believes Lesnar belongs to the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Hall of Fame.
Lesnar, who is currently competing in the World Wrestling Entertainment, is a former UFC Heavyweight champion. For many, Lesnar is the reason for UFC’s success today but it seems like the officials are not willing to accept it. Lesnar defeated Randy Couture,
one of UFC’s best, at UFC 91 on November 15, 2008 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Heyman believes Lesnar is one of the very few fighters who went to the organisation and fought the best right from the start, unlike others.
“Of course he is [a UFC Hall of Famer],” said Heyman in an interview to MMAJunkie.com. “Listen, here's the thing: Look at the three that he lost to, number one. Number two, what if Brock Lesnar did what everyone else did and said, 'Feed me a guy every other
month for three years so I'll get six victories a year. I'll be 18-0 before you put me in there with a Frank Mir, a former UFC heavyweight champion, or Randy Couture and the legends of legends in UFC.'”
“But he didn't do that. He walked in and said give me your best,” Heyman added.
As of now, Brock Lesnar is trying his luck to become the World Heavyweight Champion in WWE once again. This is his second era in the WWE, the first one being from 2000-2004.
Lesnar left WWE following his WrestleMania main event against Goldberg from the Raw brand. Since both the fighters were of equal calibre, physical attributes and winning streaks, it was an important match for Lesnar to win. It was the last match for both
the men but Goldberg was the one to walk out victorious, after delivering a Jackhammer to Lesnar.
Lesnar then headed towards UFC, dominating it with his power and speed just the way he dominated WWE. As of now, Brock Lesnar is in no mood of competing in UFC again, mainly due to his abdominal injuries.
