Paul McShane and Liam Hood seal four-year deal with Leeds Rhinos - Rugby

Paul McShane has inked a four-year deal at the Leeds Rhinos along with Liam Hood on September 28. The duo’s uptake at the franchise is coupled with the exit of Danny Buderus from the squad.
Buderus still has a year left on his contract and the speculation is that the veteran is considering returning to his former home, Newcastle Knights.
McShane believes that the renewal of contrat has given him a lot of confidence, whereas he still had a year left to run with the club, according to his previous contract. The revised four-year stint at the club, will bring out a lot more from the 21-year-old.
While speaking about the latest happenings within the Leeds, McShane stated, "This time last year I thought I would have to go out on loan to get game time with Matt Diskin and Danny Buderus at the club. But when Matt moved on to Bradford, that gave me an
opportunity and I am really pleased to have got 18 games under my belt so far this season. I was a little shocked when the club offered me a new four-year deal as I had a year to go but the faith they have shown in me has given me a big boost."
Hood, who is supposed to make his Super League debut with Leeds, is happy with the huge opportunity at his disposal.
While speaking about his rugby career at Leeds, Hood stated, "I love being here and never wanted to join anyone else."He added further that he is ambitioning to bag a spot in first grade team, next season.
The picks have been made by the coaching crew after a rigorous process. According to Leeds’ assistant coach, both picks are well-suited for their role in Leeds, who believes that the duo have the potential of proving their mettle amongst the exceptionals
within the rugby palette.
He further added that both players are competing to book a placement in the first team next season, which is great , because it will pick up the level of game played by the players.
