Question:

Paul Menard: Field filler, or future race winner?

With only one career top 10, will Paul Menard be around for much longer. I mean, daddy's money can only last for so long. Are there any fans of his out there? At Texas this year, you could have heard a pen drop when his name was called, it was as if nobody cared about him, either way.

  1. I love him.

but i think he would do better with another team.

  2. With the money he brings in from his Daddy's company, he'll be a field filler as long as he likes.

  3. Yes. Fans of his do exist. I'm right here! Bash him all you want, I like Paul and he's gonna win a race someday.

Too bad people can't realize that he's actually ahead of some names that are more hyped than he is. Well, too bad... with his dad sponsouring him, he's gonna be around for a while and you doubters are gonna have to deal with it.

PS: Paul is getting the short end of the stick at DEI.

  4. Ya deffinitely a field filler.

  5. Where is Truex Menard fan when you need him?

  6. Why is it when your father is #44 out of 400 on the Forbes 400 list, you automatically get what you want?  Oh, wait, he's field filler.  He works at the HQ of Menards in Wisconsin.  His cousin Charlie is better than he is.

  7. You can tell nobody cares about him. I never see the broadcasters talking about him or showing him. He is not a good racecar driver and that's all there is to it. I never see him on race shows either. I don't think he's got a very good personality either.

  8. Looks like he is being among the rest of the fillers.

At one point he looked as if he was on the uphill swing and was about to break into the "w" colum, but something happened and other than making the field he is only heard of if he is the "lucky dog" or is involved in a wreck.

  9. Maybe win or at least run better if hew wasnt in the 15 car.  Only time that team did anything was Dega or Daytona back when DEI ruled those tracks. The 8 and 1 car are the only teams to seem to have a decent ride week in and week out.

If Truex leaves DEI, move him to the 1 and I think hed surprise some people.

  10. Field filler. hes not to good.

  11. he brings his own sponser and gives DEI someone to use for testing , he is a field filler , but as long as he brings sponser money to the table they will keep him around and use him for the extra testing because the sponser money is hard to come by these days.

  12. Daddy's little boy who is only there because of his last name. Guy hasn't done jack S**t in the sport and never will. Talk about buying a ride, my lord.

  13. Field filler.  He might win once, say, every 76 races or so.

  14. An obvious field filler

  15. I think he could do better if he was on another team. DEI is probably focusing more on the #1 and #8 cars. The #15 has been at the bottom of the barrel ever since Waltrip left.

  16. Both if he can get a better ride  at DEI is going to be nothing but a filler if he went to RCR or HMS or even JGR or Red Bull  he could get some wins

  17. "Field filler. He might win once, say, every 76 races or so."                 hehehe........ ;-)

And I say field filler most deff..... If it wasn't for his daddy's money he wouldn't have even lasted this long.

  18. Feild Filler. I dont think he's to good. It might just be the equitment though... I dunno.

  19. he's not too bad. He can avoid a wreck better than Denny Hamlin

  20. Field Filler, and his dad is one of the richest people in America so the money will keep coming...

  21. As a resident cheesehead I would like to pull for him and Eau Claire is not too far from where I live.  It's too bad that he is not very good and taking a spot from some other driver.  Boris Said, Marcos Ambrose or some of the younger drivers would do better in the cup series, in my opinion.  The guaranteed sponsorship from his dad is obviously the only thing keeping him at the Sprint Cup level and at some point that will no longer be enough to justify his ride.
