Paul Mount happy to have Ronnie O'Sullivan & all big guns at South West Snooker Academy
South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester has been nominated as the playing venue for Players Tour Championships (PTC) Event 2. Paul Mount, owner of the academy, is thrilled to host the event and feels
great having Ronnie O’Sullivan, winner of PTC Event 1, and all other big names of Snooker at his academy. The second PTC event will commence from August 8 to 10, 2011 at the academy.
World Snooker, the game's governing body, recognized the potential of the academy to host an international snooker event and appreciated it with gratitude. Nominating the academy to host the event
was a sign of acknowledging the academy’s services to the game. The South West Snooker Academy has produced several snooker stars.
However, Paul Mount is more honoured than just excited as all big guns of snooker world will be gathering at his place in August including the Rocket, Ronnie O’Sullivan, world number one John Higgins,
Mark Selby, Mark Williams, Judd Trump and Jimmy White, to name a few. O’Sullivan is excited to play PTC Event 2 at the South West Snooker Academy and right now is practicing there.
While speaking to the local reporters at his academy, Mount said, "I am delighted World Snooker have recognised our new facility as a venue suitable to host their professional tournaments which will
include all 96 Professional players including John Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Judd Trump and of course our local players Robert Milkins and Jack Lisowski."
He added, "The big names in the game will be playing in the academy's 360 seat arena and also in the other match rooms where there is also tiered seating for spectators. There will be up to 7 sessions
a day on 9 tables (63 matches) so there will be plenty of choice of players to watch.”
He also shared that South West Snooker Academy (SWSA) has always been at the fore front to promote the game of snooker. The academy has put Gloucester on the map of Snooker and soon it will be one
of the finest venues of international snooker events.
