Paul Nixon, the acrobatic wicketkeeper of England, Kent and Leicestershire, has decided to call it a day at professional cricket, after appearing in the quarter final of the Friends Life T20 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kent-c802, on the coming Saturday.
Nixon was a prominent wicketkeeper for his recent county Leicestershire and went on to represent England as well.
He enjoyed his association with Leicestershire thoroughly and acknowledged the love and affection extended to him by the cricket lovers there, commenting,
"The Leicester public has been absolutely phenomenal towards me and I want to thank them for all of their support."

He has played 19 ODI’s and held 20 catches behind the wickets, with three stumpings.

In 90 T20 matches, he caught 48 and stumped 23 victims. He has scored 1423 runs at an average of 23.32 runs, with the best of 65 runs, with four fifties.
