Manchester United’s veteran midfielder, Paul Scholes has gone on to admit that he is uncertain as to whether he will continue playing football next year or not.
The players decision came shortly after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 – the other living legend at the club, revealed that he had plans to continue playing next season, despite now being thirty seven years old.
Both Scholes and Giggs have been pivotal figures for United, for well over a decade now and they were back to their best when United took on Blackpool on Tuesday night. The Red Devils were on the verge of suffering their first league defeat of the season
in the game, but thanks to some crucial performances from the likes of Giggs and Scholes, the team came back from being two goals down, to win by three goals to two.
Scholes’s appearance in the game was his first in two months. The veteran was out due to a groin injury that he picked up near the end of last year. However, being the humble man that he is, Scholes didn’t want to get too far ahead of himself and is reported
to have said, "I don't [know] what I'm doing next year. I just want to concentrate on getting back playing for now. I like to have a week or two off at Christmas. This one just stretched out a bit longer, which has not been ideal. Hopefully in the next few
weeks I can regain some fitness."
Scholes managed to successfully ease his way back into action against Blackpool. Despite the fact that the introduction of Giggs to the game being hailed as the turning point in the game, we can’t forget that it was Scholes who teed up http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 to
score the third and the most crucial goal in the game.
One man who didn’t let Scholes’s performance go without acknowledgment, was none other than Blackpool’s manager, Ian Holloway. Despite suffering such a heartbreaking defeat, the manager went on to state: "Paul Scholes is one of my favourite passers of the
ball ever When he passes the ball it stays passed. The ball goes exactly where he wants it to. I have always loved him for that. I played against him once or twice and he is an absolute genius. In fact, I wish he was 21, then I could see his career all over
again."
Scholes, in simple words, can be regarded as one of the greatest midfielders to ever come out of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. The player despite his outrageous talent, has always been one of the most down to earth players to ever take the field and because of his nature, he
has still gone on to state that United need to remain cautious, despite having a five point lead in the league at the moment.
"We've still got some very difficult away games to come. We have to play the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 away from home but we are in a strong position at the minute. We need to keep that going." he concluded.
