Paul Scholes uncertain of continuing for Manchester United
Manchester United veteran midfielder Paul Scholes is still uncertain of his ability to continue into the next season with Manchester United.
Teammate and friend http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985, who is 37, still believes he has time left in him and he would love to play for the Red Devils beyond his 37th birthday. It is up to Scholes to sign a new contract with Manchester United
for the next season, but the player has not thought about it yet.
Both these players have been extremely important for Manchester United’s success over the past 25 years under Sir Alex Ferguson and showed their importance in last night’s 3-2 comeback victory against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
The Premier League table toppers conceded two early goals in the first half, but it took them less than 30 minutes to tilt the match into their favour, as goals from Javier Hernandez and a wonderful brace from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 gave them all 3 points. The side
is currently atop the standings with a five-point lead over second place Arsenal.
It was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394’s first appearance in nearly eight weeks for the Red Devils owing to a groin issue and the player believes he still needs to focus on his physical fitness before actually thinking of continuing.
"I don't what I'm doing next year. I just want to concentrate on getting back playing for now. I like to have a week or two off at Christmas. This one just stretched out a bit longer, which has not been ideal. Hopefully in the
next few weeks I can regain some fitness," stated the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 International.
However, the 36-year-old did not show any signs of rust last night and set up Berbatov beautifully for the winning goal of the match. The player was silent in the first half, but with the inclusion of Ryan Giggs, Scholes found
more time and space on the ball and his pinpoint passing was just dumb founding. Even the manager of the losing team, Ian Holloway, could not stop praising his passing range, stating that he considered Scholes as the best passer in the game.
"When he passes the ball it stays passed. The ball goes exactly where he wants it to. I have always loved him for that,” stated the Blackpool boss. Holloway added that he has had the honour of playing against Scholes and labelled
him a genius.
