Paul di Resta: I am feeling good to score points in Hungarian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Force India driver Paul di Resta has said that he is feeling good to score points in the recent Hungarian Grand Prix held on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Hungaroring racetrack.
Di Resta added that it was important for him to perform well in the Budapest race for his bright future in Formula 1.
The team driver showed good race performance at the Hungaroring race circuit following his disappointing last few races in the 2011 Formula 1 season.
After scoring points in the Budapest race weekend, Force India team has come close to other strong teams in the 2011 constructors’ championship. They are at the seventh place ahead of Sauber with 26 points in the championship battle at the moment.
The Scottish had a good time in the Hungarian Grand Prix on both the supersoft and soft Pirelli tyres. He started his race from the 11th place on the opening grid and came in the 7th place after putting all of his efforts in his run.
The team driver admitted that now they are moving in the right direction. He stated that it is really nice for the team to go into the August 2011 break with strong Hungarian GP results.
Talking to reporters, di Resta said, “It does. I've lost a lot of valuable points, so we’ll take it. As I said, it will be nice now to have a bit of time to chill out and do some training. Also, the team need a bit of relaxation more than anybody because
they’ve been flat out.”
He went on to add, “After that I was able to pull away from Kobayashi, which was encouraging. Maybe we didn’t make the right call for the middle stint on the super-soft tyres, but through the last stint I managed to pass five cars I think and we showed our
true pace.”
The 12th round of the ongoing season will take place in Spa, Belgium on August 28, 2011.
Let’s see how di Resta performs on the racetrack after coming back from the break.
