Paul di Resta confident of Force India’s continued progress – Formula 1 news
Paul di Resta said that he has complete faith in Force India’s upward progress going into the 2012 season.
Force India have shown considerable improvement since the team was inducted into the sport. Last year the team managed to finish sixth on the constructors’ championship a step up from their 2010 performance and the best place finish of the team’s history.
The progress did not stop there as the team has managed to come up with a car (VJM05) that has not only shown good pace but incredible reliability as well.
Di Resta seems very pleased with the way the car has behaved for the since it is unveiling during the first pre-season test at Jerez. Apart from minor technical issues that car has remained solid throughout. This is a sign of a team that taking all the right
steps in the direction towards the top positions of the sport.
Di Resta was clearly happy of the progress and expressed his pleasure by saying, “Another busy day and we managed to tick off all the objectives once again. The final test is all about adding new parts to the car, seeing how they perform, and getting our
set-up sorted for Melbourne.”
“I think we have a good idea of where we need to be based on the performance of the car today and Nico will continue with that work tomorrow. As I said last week, we are definitely making progress in terms of performance and we're getting a good understanding
for the new 2012 tyre constructions,” he added.
Force India will be looking to bank on the good showing of the pre-season tests and start the season from the front. Di Resta’s teammate Nico Hulkenberg looks really promising and team owner Vijay Mallya has already been in praise of both his drivers. He
said that these two drivers are so good that the team will not be able to offer them good enough contracts in the future.
Mallya would be hoping that his driver’s bring him the results he aspires as the team looks better and better with each passing performance.
