Paul di Resta does not mind waiting for a decision on his future at Force India – Formula 1 news
Force India’s Paul di Resta has recently admitted that he is willing to wait for a decision from his team regarding his stay for 2012.
“Like anybody you would prefer that. You'd ideally like somebody to tell you what is going to happen tomorrow, but this is the way it is. You have to be patient. All I can do is concentrate on my driving, and leave other people to take care of my best interests,”
he said.
The young Scotsman has been scoring some outstanding results as well and since most of the teams are interested in younger drivers especially after the example of Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull Racing Team, these drivers have a lot of options open.
For di Resta at the moment, he must try his best to make a ground in the sport with Force India or some other reliable team. That is what he wants as his other options would be the back-running teams keeping in mind that the top running teams of the sport
are not changing their drivers’ line-up for 2012.
Even Adrian Sutil’s seat is uncertain and it is believed that Lotus Renault GP might be interested in signing him as well. However, Paul is waiting for Force India at the moment which means that his first priority is his team.
“The decision lies with the team. I've just got to concentrate on my own performance, and then go with the attitude of what will be will be. I'm enjoying my experiences here, they're a great team, I've been part of them now for almost two years,” he added.
Force India’s current goal is to secure the 6th place at least in the constructors’ standings ahead of Sauber and Toro Rosso. With 6 races remaining in the 2011 Formula 1 season, the team has a tough challenge ahead of them.
