Paul di Resta hoping for strong results in upcoming 2011 Hungarian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Force India-Mercedes driver Paul di Resta has said that after getting bad results from the recently held German Grand Prix, he is hoping for stronger results in the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix.
Di Resta finished his Nürburgring race at the 13th place after starting from the 12th place on the opening grid.
The team driver said that he was not really disappointed with his German race results and that he is looking forward to a successful race at the Hungaroring race circuit on July 31, 2011.
The Brit had a contact with Renault driver Nick Heidfeld in the initial laps of the Nürburgring race, which dropped di Resta to the back of the field. The Force India driver however admitted that the accident was bad luck for him in Germany.
Talking to reporters, the 25-year-old driver said, “I'm hoping things will soon start to turn for me. I wouldn't say what's happened to me has been frustrating, it's just more annoying than anything. When things do turn round I'm sure it will be better and
then I'll get some momentum.”
He further said that he is not hopeless with his German Grand Prix results, because there are plenty of races that will be coming his way and he can score points for the team during that.
Apart from that, di Resta appreciated the performance of his teammate Adrian Sutil at the German racetrack. He added that his positive finish in Nürburgring and scoring decent points for the team was a job well done.
Sutil had a good outing in Germany, where he started his race from the eighth place on the opening grid and ended up in the sixth spot for the Force India team.
Di Resta went on to mention, “Next up is the Hungarian Grand Prix and Di Resta feels having back-to-back races will aid him. I'm glad this next race comes up so quickly. It's the last race before the summer break so it would be good to come away with a strong
result.”
Let’s see how di Resta manages his race in Hungary this weekend.
