Paula Creamer, the pink panther
Paula Creamer has made a significant mark in the golfing World with 11 victories under her belt and reaching as high as No. 2 in the Women World Golf Ranking. An American professional golfer she plays on the US based Ladies Professional Golf Association
(LPGA).
Joining the tour in 2005 she is the second youngest winner of the tournament after winning the Sybase Classic the same year. Her passion for the sport began at the age of ten and as an amateur she attained victories in 11 American Junior Golf Association
tournaments.
Creamer achieved the US Open title after an astounding victory in July this year. After that victory her golfing career is looking brighter than ever. She toughed out the game with a painfully damaged ligament in her thumb and achieved her first major title.
Creamer is the second American after Cristie Kerr to emerge victorious in the tournament leaving behind Na Yeon Choi of South Korea and Suzann Pettersen of Norway, who tied for second place.
A fine player of the current golfing arena, Creamer was the sole golfer to complete four rounds under par at the Oakmont Country Club. Being a nine time LPGA Tour winner this recent victory determined Creamer’s status as a competent and talented woman golfer
of the current era.
Her golfing career appeared in jeopardy due to the surgery on her injured thumb, but she has emerged strong and victorious through the ordeal. Cramer was so far a leading golfer without achieving a major title but she relieved herself of that title in July
this year through her astounding victory.
Her victory can be attributed to a careful study of the Oakmont golf course and according to Creamer a hard course brings out her best golfing skills. Despite stomach illnesses that disrupted her 2008-2009 seasons Creamer powered through the ordeal. Despite
the physical limitations Creamer’s career has climbed uphill throughout the years. Her victory at one of the hardest golf courses had been a major boost to her confidence.
Creamer continued playing well at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in November this year by sticking to a clearly defined game plan. The Lorena Ochoa Invitational is a golf tournament for professional female golf players on the LPGA tour hosted by the best
Mexican golfer of all time Lorena Ochoa. Suzann Petterson from Norway was behind Creamer by one stroke at the tournament.
Famous for her pink attire Creamer has earned the nickname Pink Panther. Pleased with her game she feels things are going her way. Her current plan is to avail all the opportunities coming her way to up her game.
The previous year Creamer finished second at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational behind the American professional golfer Michelle Wie. Her chances at the tournament looked good after Wie withdrew due to a back injury. However, South Korea’s In-Kyung Kim topped
Creamer and won the event. Creamer still enjoyed the game and the golf course in Mexico suited her game strategy.
Creamer feels the women’s golfing world needs competition and rivalries for the game to fully thrive. She claims that to be the fundamental element of every sport. In any sport across the globe instead of a single champion dominating the game neck to neck
competition will result in an element of excitement infiltrating the game. Creamer is a golfing star, who has risen to the top echelons of the game and will bag major titles reflective of her skills and expertise in the future.
