Paula Creamer begins preparations for Ricoh Women’s British Open way before hand
Ricoh Women’s British Open is the next big attraction of the year. Unlike many players, England’s Paula Creamer has started to prepare early for the event.
Ricoh Women’s British Open has become a major tournament on the international golf calendar. Its unique status of being co-sanctioned by both LET and LPGA makes it a highly coveted title among the women players.
This year, Paula Creamer decided to have a head start over the competition and went to the Hoylake course to play on the weekend.
The course is considered to be one of the most historic golf courses in England. The course has been host to many international events and this will be the first time it will host the Ricoh Women’s British Open.
Creamer was very satisfied with her practice round and said that she really enjoyed her weekend. She said, “I really enjoy the test of links golf and I loved every minute of my weekend playing this historic links course for the first time”.
“It is in great condition, the sun shone and everyone I met at the Club was so welcoming and seemed as excited as I am about the upcoming Championship”.
Another player who is eagerly awaiting the event is Na Yeon Choi, the South Korean winner of the 2012 US Women’s Open. She said that she is looking forward to the tournament and considering her previous record, many experts say that she has a great chance
at winning the event.
Talking about her chances, Na Yeon Cho said, “I have finished top ten in the last three Ricoh Women’s British Open’s and so I think I have a great chance this year, especially with the added confidence that winning my first major has given me”.
The list of players who have confirmed their availability for the event is growing. Some well known golfers who will appear in the tournament are: Yani Tseng, Cristie Kerr, Stacy Lewis, Michelle Wie, Suzann Pettersen and Karrie Webb.
This list is not complete and fans will see other international players in action when the tournament begins. The tournament will be held from September 13 till 16.
