Paula Creamer eager to record victory
American Paula Creamer is eager to do her best at the coming Ricoh Women’s British Open 2012, as she has been looking to find her lost form for the last few months.
Creamer is happy to see her name in the roster of Women’s British Open 2012, but it remains to be seen how the American star is going to fare against stars like current world number one Yani Tseng, Cristie
Kerr and Scottish Catriona Matthew.
Creamer has been winless since her last victory at the US Women’s Open in July 2010, and now the golfing sensation has made up her mind about adding more victories to her profile.
Speaking to the media about her plans for coming battle at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Creamer said that she is in high spirits these days and will try to keep the momentum going in the coming tournaments. She
said that she knows the field well, but will have to keep a close eye on rivals.
Yani Tseng is all set to defend her title. She won the last edition of the Open in grand style, as she outperformed Brittany Lang of the United States by four strokes. Although Tseng has not been able to show
her usual performance in most recent tournaments, the top-ranked prodigy is eager to cut her rivals down to size.
When asked what it feels to find another opportunity to play the course, Creamer said that she has always liked play here, but was keen to point out that Golf Links is the best spot for golf. She said that
the last edition was great as it was staged at Links.
“I really enjoy the test of links golf and I loved every minute of my weekend playing this historic links course for the first time. It is in great condition, the sun shone and everyone I met at the Club was
so welcoming and seemed as excited as I am about the upcoming Championship,” the American golfer said.
Before the Ricoh Women’s British Open 2012, Creamer will have to battle rivals at the Kingsmill Championship 2012, scheduled to be held from September 6-9, at Williamsburg, Virginia, United States.
