Paula Creamer preparing for the Ricoh Women’s British Open
Paula Creamer is looking forward to the Ricoh Women’s British Open. She has started to train early for the event.
Recently, Creamer played at Royal Liverpool Golf Club over the weekend. This is a great move by Creamer, who familiarized herself with the golf course in which this year’s Ricoh Women’s British Open will be held.
Talking about this smart move, she said, “I really enjoy the test of links golf and I loved every minute of my weekend playing this historic links course for the first time. It is in great condition, the sun shone and everyone I met at the Club was so welcoming
and seemed as excited as I am about the upcoming Championship.”
Creamer is in great shape for the event. She has been playing well since the start of this year. She has managed five top-10 finishes so far. However, without a title to her credit so far, the year seems pretty dull to her.
Her best performance so far was in HSBC LPGA Brasil Cup 2012. She scored 138 points and stood third in the event. She came very close to winning the event and missed the first place by just five strokes.
Creamer has played well in the major events, such as the Evian Masters Presented by Societe Generale and the US Open. She stood ninth in the Evian Masters with a score of 278. In the US Open, she played even better and finished in the 7th place.
If this record is taken into consideration, it is very clear that this year, Creamer will prove to be a serious threat to all the players in the Women’s British Open.
She has set her aim on the trophy and is preparing for the event. Her visit to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club was a step in the right direction.
Other players who will attend the event are Yani Tseng, Suzann Pettersen, Cristie Kerr, Stacy Lewis and Michelle Wie.
Shona Malcolm, the CEO of LGU stated, “The field is really shaping up for the final Major of the year and after the conclusion of the Open Championship on Sunday, we hope the North West of England will now look to the Ricoh Women’s British Open for their
next fix of world class golf”.
